The difference between
mixing silo and mixing & drying silo
Recently, I have met many customers who ask about silos, but they don’t know how to choose a mixing silo or a mixing & drying silo. What are their characteristics? To make it easier for everyone to understand, today I will make a brief introduction through this article.
1. The similarities between mixing silo and mixing & drying silo
1.1 Same basic structure
The main structure of the mixing silo and the mixing & drying silo is the same, and they are composed of a hopper, a stainless steel mixing barrel, a propeller blade, a motor, a ladder, a control box, and a fan.
1.2 Same operating process
After the material to be stirred is poured from the hopper, the material will be automatically drawn into the internal propeller blades by the equipment, and after being rolled to the top, it will be thrown down in the form of an umbrella, so that it will continue to fall and continue to roll up. The mixing and stirring effect of circulating flow can uniformly mix a large amount of raw materials in a short time.
2. The differences between mixing silo and mixing & drying silo
2.1 Different internal structure
The difference between the mixed silo and the mixing & drying silo is that the latter has an additional heater than the former, which plays a role in the drying function.
2.2 Different performance
The mixing silo adopts the principle of spiral mixing. The material is sent to the upper end of the barrel through the spiral spindle, and then falls in an umbrella shape, and this mixing process is continuously circulated, so as to achieve the effect of uniform mixing of materials. The use of this mixing method can make various materials fully mixed and uniform, improve production efficiency, and there will be no waste of materials.
In addition to the principle of spiral mixing, the mixing & drying silo also adopts the heating method of the surrounding barrel wall to achieve the purpose of mixing and drying.
