Factors to influence crusher’s performance
Recently, there are a lot of people consult about crusher. They are very interested in crushers. But they know little about crusher. So they are very glad to consult factors to influence crusher’s performance. So I would like to introduce some factors to people who are very interested in these.
1. The structure of crusher
The structure of crusher mainly consists of gap between rotary and fixed knives, the number of rotary knives, gap between rotor and room’s wall, screen’s shape and diameter, etc..
After a lot of tests and experience, we summarize some information.
- The gap between fixed and rotary knives affects little for productivity, scrape’s size and the distribution, of rigid plastic material. Because the size of scrape crushed by crusher depends on screen mesh. For resilient plastic material, the gap between rotary and fixed knives affects the size of scrape obviously. Because the small gap maybe causes there are small size scrapes.
- The number of rotary knives has complex influence in crusher’s performance. For the material needs to be crushed, resilient or rigid material, when it has small specific surface area and small volume. Both of these two can reach high capacity when the crusher has many rotary knives. But when material needs to be crushed has big specific surface and big volume. For resilient material, the productivity will be improved if the crusher is installed many rotary knives. For rigid material, the condition is different, because the productivity will get low when the crusher is installed many rotary knives.
- The diameter of screen mesh affects the productivity obviously. But it has little influence on scrapes’ size and distribution after be crushed.
- The shape of sieve plate will affect productivity obviously. And the productivity rate can be improved 50%-70% after the sieve plate is improved.
2. Operating conditions
The speed of rotor and the way of feeding material are mainly operating conditions for a crusher. The experimental showed that the rotor has several best rotary working point. When the speed of rotor get some point, the productivity can be reached the highest, but the speed of rotor get some point, the productivity also can be reached lowest. The speed or rotor obviously affects the productivity, power consumption and noise. For the waste plastic material whose specific surface area and volume is small, the productivity will be improved if the speed of rotor is increased. But maybe the size of scrape will be reduced, and the size distribution will get wilder. For the waste plastic which has big specific surface area and big volume, the high rotating speed will decline the productivity. Noise is increasing because the speed of rotor is increasing. So the effective way to reduce noise is reducing the rotating speed of rotor.
3. The material properties
The material properties include the resilient and rigid of material, shape and surface area.
